pleasant weather for the weekend, then turning back hot

6/14/2024

Temperatures this Friday are on our way to reaching the low to mid 90s. A cold front will cross the region tonight, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Any storms may contain strong winds.
The cold front will bring temporary relief from this intense heat, as a Canadian airmass will move in on Saturday. Skies will be sunny as temperatures top out in the mid 80s with noticeably lower humidity. It will be breezy with a north wind at 15-20 mph.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday with temperatures reaching the mid 80s again. The humidity will still be comfortable, and there will be a lighter breeze.
Heading into the workweek, we will have multiple days of temperatures reaching near or exceeding 90°. Expect the humidity to be higher than what we will have this weekend.
