3/1/2024

A storm system from the Deep South is starting to move into the Mid Atlantic late this Friday. Rain will move into the area in the 7-9:00 PM timeframe from southwest to northeast. This will become a soaking rain overnight, and rainfall rates may be briefly heavy Saturday morning. Rain will clear out early Saturday afternoon, with rainfall totals between one half and one inch. Temperatures will be in the mid 50s during the day with a steady northerly wind developing at 10-15 mph.
With high pressure building back in on Sunday, it will be a nice day with temperatures climbing from around 40° in the morning to around 60° in the afternoon. There will be some sunshine during the day. An onshore wind flow on Monday may lead to slightly higher cloud coverage and cooler temperatures.
There may be some light rain Monday night as an offshore system passes by. Tuesday may be dry, but another storm will bring a chance of rain by Wednesday. It will generally remain mild through this time, with 60° temperatures Monday and Tuesday.
