warm through friday with more rain at times

1/25/2024

The temperature reached the mid 60s for locations away from the bay this Thursday! That is quite the change from the teens we had Monday morning. While much of the time from late morning through the afternoon was dry, more showers will move in later this evening. Temperatures will stay mild overnight with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
Much of the rainfall activity will clear out by late morning on Friday. There may be some breaks in the clouds as temperatures head up into the upper 60s. Some spots south of DC may hit 70°. There will be a steady southwesterly breeze around 15 mph.
Saturday will likely start off dry. However, an organized storm will move in from the Deep South later in the day, with rain arriving by the evening. Behind a cold front that will pass through early Saturday, it will turn out much cooler with highs in the mid 50s.
Rain looks to continue on Sunday, although there may be some breaks by the afternoon. The cooling trend will continue with temperatures struggling to reach the upper 40s. Monday will be dry and windy with high temperatures in the low 40s. Clouds may linger during the day.
