We expect this wet weather to continue into Sunday with widespread showers and a few moderate downpours off and on throughout the day. Rain will end west to east late in the afternoon or early evening.

For next week, each day will be very similar. Warm, increasingly muggy, and each will feature a chance for isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will range from the mid 70s to upper 80s with the hottest day being Wednesday. Dew points will rise into the mid to possibly upper 60s so yes, the humidity is here!

On Wednesday and especially Thursday, a stronger disturbance will bring the chance for numerous showers and thunderstorms to the area. The airmass should be fairly unstable with a bit of wind shear as well. Both days will have a chance for severe weather, depending on how much sun there is. The more sun we get, then the higher the chance for severe weather will be. Right now, it looks like the main threats will be heavy rain and locally damaging winds, but we cant rule out some hail too. We will continue to monitor this over the coming days.
