Chilly halloween then a hard freeze mid-late week

A cold front has passed through the region today leading to thick clouds, gusty winds, and light rain along with a drop in temperatures. Temperatures are expected to continue to drop through the night and tomorrow with Tuesdays highs only reaching the 50s. By 9pm Tuesday, temps will have fallen into the low 40s to upper 30s. Luckily, most locations are expected to be dry with only a 20% chance of isolated showers.

The BIG change comes Wednesday night when lows will drop below freezing for most locations, with northern MD dropping into the upper 20s. Wind chills will be in the low-mid 20s for most location which lends the concern for frost bite with prolonged exposure. Similar temperatures and wind chills are expected Thursday night before warming slightly Friday night. This will end the growing season area wide and freeze warnings will be needed.
