Colder than normal temperatures are expected for a while across our area with highs barely reaching 50 through the middle of next week, with many areas stuck in the 40s. Some areas on Tuesday will not get out of the 30s. Low temps are mainly expected to be in the 20s and low 30s, with the coldest nights being Tuesday and Wednesday when low 20s are possible. In addition, you will notice an increase in the wind this week which will make it feel colder, especially on Monday and Tuesday where morning wind chills in the teens are likely. As far as precipitation goes, not much is anticipated with only a few showers in the evening on Sunday, with little to no accumulation anticipated. otherwise, dry and mainly sunny skies are currently expected due to high pressure.

Over the next 1-2 weeks, you can expect near to slightly above normal precipitation and near normal temperatures for our area. For reference, the average high temperature is in the low 50s across our area for this time of year. This takes us into the first week of December. In the past, we have had snow in the first week or so of December, but that looks fairly unlikely this year as we expected. The storm tracks and temperatures just don't look to favor December snow in central Maryland.
