April 19th, 2013 - 2013 Largo EF-0 Tornado

On Saturday, April 20th, 2013, a National Weather Service survey of damage concluded that an EF-0 tornado touched down within the Marlboro Ridge Subdivision, located near Ritchie Marlboro Road in Largo, Maryland at 7:26AM on Friday, April 19th, 2013. Several trees were snapped and uprooted by the tornado, with a few homes having their garage doors and windows broken. One home had an interior garage wall collapse, as the winds entered the garage when the door was blown out. A number of other homes had some minor damage, relating to siding and roof shingles. The tornado only traveled on the ground for less than a minute with a path length of a half of a mile and a width of seventy-five yards. Maximum wind gusts within the tornado were estimated to be about 85 MPH, with no injuries or fatalities being reported.
