Around 7:38AM, on Friday, February 7th, 2020, a weak, one minute long EF-0 tornado touched down along Maryland Route 28 (Darnestown Road) between White Ground Road and Sugarland Road in Boyds, Maryland. In this area, a number of trees were downed, with a few falling onto utility lines in the area. The tornado continued over primarily rural fields before damaging a number of structures belonging to a dog training facility, Warrior Canine Connection, on Schaeffer Road. One of these structures was completely destroyed, with its debris impaling two other outdoor office trailers. Just to the northeast of this facility, some more tree damage was noted. The tornado lifted off of the ground around 7:39AM, after traveling just under two and a half miles, with maximum wind gusts of 80 MPH, and a maximum path width of seventy-five yards. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
