June 10th, 2013 - 2013 Woodbine EF-0 Tornado

After surveying damage left behind, the National Weather Service determined that a brief, two minute EF-0 tornado touched down in a portion of forest just to the west of Woodbine Road at 6:59PM in Woodbine, Maryland on Monday, June 10th, 2013. In the area, a number of treetops were sheared, with some trees being fully uprooted and snapped. Along Woodbine Road, a traffic sign was sent blowing into nearby trees, while a wired fence was also damaged in the area. A two car garage was damaged at the 3200 block of Starting Gate Court as well, with some objects within being dispersed through bordering properties. Further tree damage was noted on Starting Gate Court, Florence Road, and Duval Road, including areas along Cabin Run. Around 7:01PM, the tornado lifted off of the ground after only traveling a half of a mile, with a maximum path width of one hundred yards. Maximum wind gusts within the tornado were estimated to be about 80 MPH, with no injuries or fatalities reported.
