cooler temperatures to start moving in this weekend

3/15/2024

This Friday will mark the last consecutive day in this stretch of temperatures reaching close to 75° in Southern MD. An approaching cold front will lead to scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm later today. The best chance for any rain will be from late afternoon through the evening. Southwest winds around 15 mph during the day will shift to the north with 20-25 mph gusts close to midnight.
While it will be cooler, Saturday will still be a nice day for outdoor activities! Morning lows will be in the mid 40s, and afternoon highs will reach the mid 60s. Plenty of sunshine is expected. There may be increased clouds on Sunday as a system passes by to the north, but the day is looking dry. Temperatures will top out in the mid 60s again with a noticeable breeze at 10-20 mph.
Cooler air will filter into the region on Monday. High temperatures will be knocked down into the mid 50s with breezy conditions remaining. Temperatures Monday night will dip down close to freezing. Tuesday will be a chilly and windy day with temperatures struggling to top 50°.
