plenty of rain for the next several days

3/4/2024

While we have had a couple days of dry conditions in Southern MD, a substantial amount of rain is on the way for the next several days. Rainfall amounts may reach 2-3 inches by the end of the weekend. However, it will not be raining the entire time.
For this Monday evening, rain will move in from the south in the 7-9PM timeframe. This is from a coastal low pressure system that has similarities to the storm that came through Friday night into Saturday morning. Steady rain will clear out by Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will be in the 50s throughout the day with a westerly breeze around 10 mph.
Another coastal storm will be quick to move in by late Tuesday night. While there may be some breaks in the rain, much of the day on Wednesday is looking rainy. Temperatures will remain in the 50s. While the heaviest rain is likely to clear out by Wednesday night, low clouds along with a chance for light rain may linger into Thursday.
A third storm looks to move in from the west by Saturday.
