quick rain/snow system fri night - sat morning

2/14/2024

A fast-moving Clipper type system will track through the area Friday night into Saturday morning. This will bring a good chance for a brief shot of rain and snow to the region. As has repeatedly been the case this winter with snow chances, there are indications that the rain/snow line may set up right across Southern MD. However, this will be dependent on slight deviations in the storm track. A further north track would keep any snowfall accumulations confined to north of DC, while a track 50 miles to the south would allow for snowfall accumulations into Southern MD.
Generally chilly and windy conditions will remain in place for much of the rest of this week.
