rain/wind fri night, with next possible storm early next week

​While we still have rain, wind, and tidal flooding on the way for this Friday night in Southern MD, I am keeping an eye on the next possible storm system between late Monday and early Wednesday that has a low-end potential for snow.
Colder air will start to filter into the region over the holiday weekend, with frigid temperatures arriving by the middle of next week. Computer models suggest that a storm system may track across the Southeast and into our area on the leading edge of the arctic airmass arrival. While it does not appear to be loaded with tremendous moisture like the past several storms, it may be just cold enough for snow. Mixed precipitation is certainly also a possibility. However, it is not completely certain at this point if the storm will take a track that is favorable for accumulating precipitation in this area.
In between these storms, expect a windy weekend with a nearly 48 hour period from late Friday through late Sunday with wind gusts generally reaching or exceeding 25 mph.
