seasonable temperatures for thanksgiving

Rainfall totals from Wednesday's storm were generally in the 2-3" range, which was more than I expected. The good news is that it at least put a dent in the developing drought. 

With clouds starting to break up across the region, temperatures will rise a couple more degrees to near 60° this afternoon. 

Compared to this morning, we will have a much cooler start to Thanksgiving Day. For those participating in Project Echo's 5K Turkey Trot at the Jefferson Patterson Park & Mesum, temperatures will be right around 40° for the start. There will be a noticeable northwesterly wind around 10-15 mph, which will put wind chills in the low to mid 30s. Sunshine is expected throughout the day with temperatures climbing into the mid 50s.
 
Friday will be dry and a bit cooler with highs just getting slightly above 50°. There may be more clouds around during the day. The cooling trend will continue on Saturday with temperatures not getting out of the mid 40s. The next storm system may move in by late Sunday.
