turning colder midweek then warmer

12/5/2023

While this week got off to a mild start in the area, a blast of colder air will arrive on Wednesday. A few scattered rain/snow showers will be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning on the leading edge of the colder air. There may be some breaks in the clouds on Wednesday, but otherwise it will feel like winter. High temperatures will be in the mid 40s, and gusty northwest winds at 15-25 mph will make it feel colder.

The chilly conditions will continue for Thursday. Morning lows will be in the upper 20s, and highs will be in the mid 40s. A mix of sun and clouds is expected along with continued breezy conditions. Southerly winds will allow temperatures to reach well into the 50s for Friday and Saturday.

All indications point to a strong storm system sweeping across the area on Sunday. This will likely bring rain and wind to the area. The exact timing of when the most impacts will be is a bit uncertain at this point, but I will be watching this.
