turning warmer this week

5/20/2024

While this day has started off with overcast skies in the area, I do think there will be some sunshine later in the day. Temperatures will head up into the mid 70s, much like we saw on Sunday. Tuesday is looking a bit warmer with highs around 80°.
With a southerly wind flow well established, the warming trend will continue Wednesday with temperatures soaring into the upper 80s.
Hot and humid conditions will still be in place on Thursday. However, a cold front will be on the move towards the region, and this will bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms for the late afternoon and evening.
High temperatures will be down to around 80° for the end of the week. There may be a lingering chance for a few showers and thunderstorms into the Memorial Day weekend.
