warm start to the week

4/14/2024

The past few days have featured multiple airmass changes in the area, which has been reflected in temperature swings along with 4 consecutive days of 30 mph winds or higher. Temperatures this Sunday afternoon spiked up to 80° following overnight lows in the mid 40s.
The warmth will be sticking around on Monday with temperatures reaching around 80° again. A cold front dropping through late in the day may allow for an isolated shower or thunderstorm late in the afternoon or early evening.
Tuesday, high temperatures look to be in the lower 70s. There will be another low chance for a late-day shower or thunderstorm. From Wednesday into the second half of the week, it does look like periodic chances for showers will continue due to a frontal boundary situated over the region. High temperatures will generally remain in the 70s.
