warm temperatures through friday

Temperatures Tuesday spiked into the 70s in Southern MD, and we are seeing a repeat this Wednesday afternoon. This nice early spring warmth will continue on Thursday. Temperatures will start off around 50°, and afternoon highs will be in the mid 70s with sunshine.
Friday, temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 70s with a breezy southwest wind at 10-20 mph. However, a storm system will be moving in, which will lead to a good chance for at least scattered showers by late afternoon into the evening.
The St. Patrick’s Day weekend is shaping up to have generally pleasant weather. Saturday will be noticeably cooler, but still near average temperatures with highs in the lower 60s. Sunshine is expected. A system will be sliding by to our north on Sunday. Currently, it looks like it will be mostly dry here with only a slight chance for a shower Sunday morning. It will turn out somewhat windy with westerly winds at 15-25 mph. Temperatures look to reach the low to mid 60s.
A shot of colder temperatures will settle in early next week.
