warmer temperatures through thursday

4/9/2024

While the first few days of April were actually just as chilly as how March started off, at least we are back into the mid 70s this Tuesday for the first time in weeks. There will be a chance for a few showers later this evening into the overnight hours as a storm system starts to move in. In contrast to the 30s and 40s we were having for lows, temperatures tonight will barely dip below 60°.
Southwest winds will keep mild temperatures around on Wednesday with highs in the mid 70s. There may be a passing shower around, but otherwise much of the day looks dry.
The main dynamics associated with the storm system moving in will arrive on Thursday. It will be rather windy during the day with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures will reach 70°. There will be an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms heading into the evening and overnight hours.
A few showers may linger into the day on Friday. It will turn out cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Gusty winds will remain. The weekend is looking generally nice. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 60s with a breezy west wind in place. Temperatures will head back into the 70s on Sunday. Rain chances may return by the end of the day.
