Foot's Forecast was founded in 2004 by a Baltimore County school teacher, Richard Foot. Over the years, numerous people with an interest and background in meteorology, emergency management, etc have joined Foot's Forecast.
We are a volunteer forecast group focusing on Central Maryland and South Central Pennsylvania. Our forecast zone includes Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery, Howard, Prince Georges, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Harford counties and Baltimore city in MD, as well as York and Adams counties in PA.
Not only are we in the forecasting business, but also in the business of saving lives and property. We do this through the use of weather forecasting tools similar to how firefighters use hoses to put out fires! Foots Forecast uses numerous different weather models, atmospheric data, and ground observations from forecasters across the region.
Our forecasters include teachers, emergency managers, meteorologists, and college students who are all passionate about meteorology and protecting the public from hazardous weather.
Our goal over the last 20 years has been, and will continue to be to provide the most accurate weather information to viewers so they can feel safe, be prepared, and stay aware without having to filter through the internet hype.
